In this country's warm climate, temperatures are nice throughout the year, generally between 75 and 90°F (24–32°C). December to March is the warm, rainy season, with winds coming from the northwest. June to September are the drier, cooler, windy months. January, the wettest month, brings up to 15 inches (380 millimeters) of precipitation to Mahé (an island), where rainfall is heaviest. Precipitation can drop to less than 3 inches (63 millimeters) in June, the driest month.
